The first online IBP PhD Congress was successful!
After the 13th IBP PhD Congress had to be cancelled in 2020, we organised the first-ever IPB PhD Online Congress on the 9th of April 2021 in Gather.Town with more than 130 participants.
The IBP PhD Congress is a yearly event where PhD students of our institute can showcase their research. This year, the congress took place online because of the pandemic situation. Nevertheless, more than 130 IBP members attended the 12 talks and 36 poster presentations. The organising committee Katharina Sodnikar, Katrin Schulz and David Haaf did a great job and created a unique online event. During the congress, the chairs Surya Gupta and Niroshan Gajendra led the audience smoothly through the day. Big thanks to all participants, student assistants Julie Peyronne and Pascal Schneider, and IBP institute head Nicolas Gruber for his opening speech.
